Erling Haaland is nineteen years old and is
a Norwegian striker. Until recently he played for Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian
Football Bundesliga. On December 29 of
last year, Borussia Dortmund acquired his services during the winter break for
the small sum of €20 million. Ever since
then, all he has done is score goals, just like Paco Alácer before
him. Haaland made his Bundesliga debut
on Matchday 18 [two weeks ago]. He came
off the bench in the second half in the match against Augsburg and scored a hat
trick [three goals], becoming the seventh player in Bundesliga history to
record a hat trick in his Bundesliga debut.
Coincidentally, the last player to achieve that feat also played for
Borussia Dortmund – Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
Like Aubameyang, his jersey number is 17. Last week, he again came off the bench in the
second half. He scored two goals against
FC Köln. Today he got the start
against FC Union Berlin. He scored two
more goals today. That makes seven goals
in three matches. Did I mention he’s
only 19?
